• MIRIA

    Collection Story

Miria is a collection shaped by imaginative interpretations of the jungle, where decorative arts and painterly landscapes converge. Early inspiration comes from the In the Jungle earthenware dish by Mintons Ltd (1855), reflecting a Victorian fascination with exotic scenery and layered foliage. This narrative is enriched by the expressive work of Maria Prymachenko and the dreamlike jungle visions associated with Henri Rousseau, encouraging a design approach that favours atmosphere over realism.

Further influence is drawn from a Balinese painting made in the 1960s, depicting figures moving through a dense landscape of rivers, mountains, wildlife, and thatched dwellings — a scene that balances tranquillity with quiet drama. Miria translates these references into patterns that feel artistic, immersive, and gently escapist, offering interiors a sense of depth, character, and cultivated decorative richness.

SIMIA

Design Story

Simia draws from the imaginative jungle narrative that defines the Miria collection, combining lively wildlife with abundant foliage to create a pattern full of movement and charm. Monkeys weave through playful trees heavy with mango fruit, while scattered birds introduce moments of lightness across the design.

Entirely hand painted, the artwork retains a spirited, expressive quality that enhances its decorative appeal without feeling overly formal. Available in three carefully considered colourways, Simia is designed to bring energy and personality to an interior, a pattern that feels joyful, characterful, and quietly transportive.

PARADISIUM

Design Story

Paradisum builds upon the visual language of Simia, expanding the narrative into a richer and more immersive jungle scene. Familiar motifs reappear, now joined by a watchful jaguar, a quietly poised chameleon, and layered islands surrounded by abundant foliage, creating a landscape that feels both expansive and intricately observed.

Hand painted to preserve movement and individuality, the design embraces a decorative fullness while maintaining compositional balance. Despite its complexity, Paradisum remains considered rather than overwhelming, inviting the eye to travel across the pattern and discover new details over time. The result is a design that captures the romance of faraway landscapes, bringing depth, imagination, and a refined sense of escapism to an interior.

CANOPIA AND MONKEY CANOPIA

Design Story

Canopia and Monkey Canopia designs are inspired by the layered richness of traditional tapestry trees. The pattern focuses on the canopies of the jungle, where overlapping foliage forms a rhythmic, sheltering landscape that feels both decorative and atmospheric.

Hand painted to retain softness and depth, the design balances structure with gentle movement, allowing the trees to create a sense of quiet immersion. Monkey Canopia introduces an additional narrative element, with the subtle presence of a monkey bringing lightness and character, while Canopia offers a more restrained interpretation for interiors that favour calm continuity. Together, they provide versatility without compromising the collection’s artistic cohesion — refined, transportive, and thoughtfully composed.
